The Tipton County Foundation was formed in 1986 as a not-for-profit organization to assist in identifying and addressing the quality of life issues of Tipton County citizens. Since the year 2000 alone, over $3 million have been distributed through the Foundation according to donor wishes to local charities, for scholarships to high school graduates from the county, and for special projects and causes. Contributions may be made to any fund, or a new fund established, at the Foundation office, 1020 West Jefferson St., Tipton. Applications for grants are also available there. The Foundation’s next activity for all families in the county is Ducky Day in the Tipton Park, Sunday, August 28, 2005. Children’s games, food, a talent show, and fun for all will precede the exciting duck race. To enter a duck for $5, and potentially win valuable prizes, visit the Foundation office or call 675-8480.
